As a tantric yogini, I am dedicated to living a yogic life every day and passing on this life-changing knowledge and experience to those on the path of seeking. My personal practice favourites include laya, bhakti and hatha yoga techniques, and I am particularly drawn to chanting bhajans.
Although I grew up in a village of scientists and in a strictly atheist family, I have been fascinated by the spiritual world for as long as I can remember. As a teenager I read esoteric literature secretly under the blanket, as a young adult I was initiated as a shaman in Siberia and from there the path led me to various teachings of yoga and meditation from India.
As I have also been very successful in the ‘secular’ world – for example, I have a double Master’s degree and my professional career has led me to become the head of a large successful IT company – it has been the harmonious fusion of these two seemingly opposing worlds into a single whole that has been the driving force behind my quest. And exactly this I found in traditional Tantra yoga from India and Tibet, where bhukti and mukti, the earthly and spiritual aspirations of human life, go hand in hand.
In 2011, I started studying at the Agama Yoga School, whose teachings, which bring together deep spiritual truths from different schools of thought into a coherent whole, inspired me so much that in 2014, I trained as a yoga teacher and began to pass on this knowledge to others, and for three years I lived with my family in Thailand, running a large international yoga school. Today, I have completed a 24-level course programme and an in-depth kundalini study, and I am currently in my third year of an advanced study programme based on Kashmiri Shaivism.
In the second half of 2018 divine guidance led me to Viljandi, where I founded the school that is now called Mahadeva Yoga School, and since then I have had the privilege of being a senior teacher of traditional tantra yoga, giving weekly advanced classes, giving initiations and training yoga teachers, and conducting yoga camps.
I would be delighted if I can broaden your worldview by sharing my knowledge and experience.
TANTRA AS A SPIRITUAL PATH
Do you find yourself in a situation where you know that you are not just your physical body, you have heard (and maybe even felt) something about aura and chakras – but what they actually are and what exactly is the make-up of you as an individual, is still unclear? You also know (and perhaps experience) that there is much more to this world than just the physical plane, but what other planes are there? This workshop is an introduction to a traditional tantric worldview.
Traditional tantric yoga has a very clear vision of the structure of the Universe and the individual. What they are, how they relate to each other and what the big picture is, is what this workshop is about. And to make sure that this is not just theoretical talk, we will also take an illustrative cognitive journey through the seven levels of consciousness through music meditation. The workshop is open to anyone who feels confused about the above issues or feels it is fascinating to get a framework for a yogic worldview to make sense of the world and life.
